Although I haven’t been on the road with myCoolman lithium power pack yet I have charged and run it once in my work shed on a 33 degree day. I was amazed how effective it was on this one use with my 44 litre fridge. I just checked it this morning and it has been running on 2 degrees for 21 hours now and there is still one blue charge light showing. If it continues to be this effective and the beer stays this cold on our travels I will be one very Happy Camper!
I have run the fridge for 3 days at -15c & 4c in my garage at max 25c air temp with each compartment at 90% full. It has run flawlessly. However I trialed the battery and 100% charge it lasts only 6hrs 15min so not quiet a full night which is a pity as 12hrs would have been great. Luckily as the insulation is so good non of my food is defrosted. MyCoolman should consider offering a bigger battery for the larger fridges. The DCDC Charger is a great accessory.
Works great keeps fridge working for 8hrs only problem is you need 240v to recharge it! Would be better if we could recharge it as we drive to the next site ready for overnite.
The battery PowerPack for the 96 litre myCoolman fridge/freezer has made recent camping out trips effortless and enjoyable.
I have to say I purchased this expecting very little as I was dubious about the runtimes I was reading about but I have to say my first test was very positive. I plugged it into a Waeco CFX45 running at -1C and it lasted for 22 hours. This was in ideal conditions inside the house but still impressive. I assume out in the field it would last half of that.
